    Sales is like basketball.

    You don’t even get a good shot at the hoop until you and your team have moved the ball down the court. Try to shoot from the far basket and you are likely to miss.

    You often don’t get a shot at the sale until you have created a relationship that gets you closer to the client. And if you miss it at the first try, you can and should go for the rebound.
